S.P. Jain Institute of Management

The college was opened by British prime minister Late Hon. Margaret Thatcher in the year 1981. It is a recognized college located in Mumbai and it was recognized as a member of Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan. It has been ranked as number 1 by Times Financial Global Ranking. The mission of the college is to provide the students with value-based growth in the market at large.

About the College

The college offers various post-graduate courses along with other management courses some of which are full-time and some are part-time. The college’s first batch was taught in 1983, 2-years after the inaugural of the college due to not having sufficient quality teachers. The college is the best place to study for those students who want to make their career in the management, business and finance fields. The college also provides the students with all the necessary facilities which can make the students take an interest in learning.

Admission to College

To get admission to this college you need to take an entrance examination. These entrance exams are CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT and XMAT. Admission in MCA requires you to take CET, MAH and MCA exams. The admission is finalized based on a personal interview and a group discussion to know the aspects that students want and why they want to join the institute.

1. PGDM- Postgraduate Diploma in Management This field teaches the student various things including Specialisation in Finance, Supply Chain, Information Management and Marketing and Operations. It is a 2-year program that is taught with practical knowledge of the field. It gives functional management and technical knowledge to students about these various topics and niches.

2. PGDMBM- Postgraduate Diploma of Management in Business Management : This is a 2-year program. It teaches the functions and general management of functional areas that give them the flexibility to choose career goals. It covers International Exposure and International Exchange.

Eligibility Criteria

• • The students need to graduate from a recognized college.
• • The students must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the subject.
• • The students need to take entrance examinations. These examinations are CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT and NMAT.
• • The students need to clear the examinations for admission.
• • They have to take part in counseling.
