The National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test - Post Graduate (NEET - PG), which is administered by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), is used to determine eligibility for admission to postgraduate (PG) courses (Medical-MD/MS). The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) of the Government of Karnataka will conduct the centralized counseling for these programs

In order to regulate admissions and the fee structure for postgraduate (medical-MD/MS) courses at private professional colleges of medicine and sciences, the Government of Karnataka and the Association of Minority Professional Colleges in Karnataka (AMPCK) reached a consensual agreement.

The following training requirements must be met before receiving any of the following postgraduate degrees or diplomas:

1. Master of Surgery (M.S.) and Doctor of Medicine (M.D. Three completed years, including the time for the exam, must be spent in training to earn these degrees.
2. With the caveat that the training duration, which includes the examination period, must be two years in the case of students who have completed a recognized two-year postgraduate diploma course in the same topic.

All-India counseling for all SS courses (DM/MCh.) will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of the DGHS, MOHFW & FW, GOI, and seats will be assigned based on merit selection and the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-SS), which is administered by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

Eligibility Criteria : MD/DNB – in Anaesthesia/General Medicine/Emergency Medicine. Diploma in Anaesthesia with one year experience.

Courses and Intake : Fellowship Intensive Care Medicine-02 Seats per Year.

Selection of Candidates : Candidates will be selected from a 4 member panel appointed by RGUHS.

Period of Training : 18 to 24 months (full time work as per RGUHS guidelines and not permitted to work elsewhere)

Medical: Only candidates who have completed a three-year M.D., M.S., medical P.G. diploma, or M.Sc. in a medical subject from a medical college are eligible to participate in a Ph.D. program in the relevant fields.

According to the schedule of events, students who scored at or above the 50th percentile on the Ph. D. Entrance Examination administered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences are declared selected for admission to Ph. D. courses. This decision is valid for two terms (during the current academic year and the following academic year), subject to the availability of advisors.

All candidates who want to apply for the Ph.D. program must take the entrance exam held by the university.

1. A qualifying examination will be an entrance exam with 50th percentile scores. The outcome will be announced using the percentile technique. If a very small number of applicants pass the Ph. D entrance exam, the university maintains the discretion to lower this percentile restriction. With the Hon. Vice Chancellor's consent, this will go into effect. Two three-hour sessions are required to complete the test's two papers. Basics of research technique is the subject matter covered in the first theory paper, which will receive 50 points. (10X5) The second theory paper, which will be subject-specific and ideally written by someone with PG-level proficiency, will be worth 50 marks.(10X5) There will be eight questions total, each worth ten points. Out of the eight questions in each of the two papers, the applicant must respond to five of them.

For the declaration of the results, the percentile approach is used. 50th percentile for each faculty will serve as the cutoff for declaring success on the Ph.D. entrance exam.

If numerous candidates receive the same score on the entrance exam, the ranking will be determined by the grades received in the post-graduate exam. Undergraduate marks will be taken into consideration if the post-graduation marks are likewise the same. If both candidates have the same Undergraduate marks, the applicant who is older will be given preference for a better ranking.

2. Candidates who pass the entrance exam and are accepted into the Ph.D. program will be given the opportunity to present their research interests to a properly constituted University Ph.D. Registration committee of the relevant faculty during an interview or viva-voce.

3. The following will also be taken into account during the interview/viva voce, namely:

• • to gauge the applicants' capacity for research.
• • The applicant is qualified for the position being
• • The institution/college can effectively carry out the research task.
• • The proposed study topic has the potential to bring new or extra knowledge

4. There will only be one admissions stream each year. The eligibility attained during the entrance exam is valid for admission in accordance with the schedule of events, and such scores are valid for two terms (for the current academic year and the following academic year).

5. According to the number of available Research Guides (not exceeding the permitted number of Scholars in each department), other academic and physical facilities, and the number of Ph.D. scholars to be admitted, the Colleges under the university that are permitted to conduct Ph.D. programs shall decide on an annual basis through their academic bodies

6. The University will give candidates ample prior notice via the University website regarding the requirements for admission, the admissions process, the location(s) of the entrance test(s), and any other pertinent information.

• 4. Photo identity proof in the form of a Certificate with an attested photo from the Head of the Institution last studied/Copy of Passport/Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Driving License (Self-attested photocopy after verifying with the original documents).
• 5. Copy of: Birth Certificate for proof of age (if the date of birth is not given in the HSC mark sheet/ certificate).
• 6. NEET Score Card
• 7. Copy of Online Counseling Registration Certificate.
• 8. Sponsorship Certificate from State Govt. If applicable
• 9. Passport size Photographs 8 copies.
